Sometimes life can just bring you down with what goes on around you. It can leave you wondering how to rise above your circumstances. My daughter's friends, and my favorite person in the Bible (Ruth) taught me about that this week. I realized something was wrong with Olivia when I tried to send Charlie, her, [...]
Do you have a favorite book of the Bible? I am not sure that I can hand pick just one book, but Ruth is at the top of my list of favorites. And today I am back on Candidly Christian sharing about Anna and Elsa from Frozen, and what I have been learning from Ruth and Naomi the past few months.
Which is harder, to say "your sins are forgiven?" or "get up and walk?"
Can I take a moment and answer that? The forgiveness of sins part has definitely got to be harder. Like by a long shot. I am just going to get right to the point here. I am not a huge fan of giving gifts. However, if I am going to get a gift for someone, I love finding them the perfect gift. Like LOVE! It gives me joy. A few weeks ago, knowing a dear friends favorite verse about [...]
I want to be the winner. My son is 4, and that is something that has frequently come out of his mouth. He loves to win, he wants to be first. We have had to gently talk to him about what winning truly looks like. Crossing the finish line first may mean that you were [...]
I was looking for God. I definitely wasn’t looking for new friends. When it came to meeting new people, I was like a stubborn child, who would stomp her little feet on the floor when she didn’t want to eat her dinner. I loved my friends (still do!), and they were enough. But unbeknownst to [...]
